Third Annual Long Beach Motorsports Walk of Fame South Pine Avenue, Long Beach, California
The Long Beach Motorsports Walk of Fame honors key contributors to motorsports and annually inducts new members during Grand Prix Week. In 2006, its inaugural year, the City of Long Beach and the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach honored Phil Hill and Dan Gurney. Considered legends in the field of motorsports, the careers of Phil Hill and Dan Gurney spanned decades, inspiring a generation of devoted fans, drivers and teammates around the world. In 2007, the inductees included Chris Pook, the founder of the Long Beach Grand Prix; Brian Redman, the first winner in 1975; and the Newman-Hass racing team, who have more Long Beach Grand Prix wins than any other racing team.
In 2008, the inductees included Mario Andretti, Parnelli Jones, and Gary Gabelich. Join us for the Fourth Annual Long Beach Motorsports Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony in April 2009, when more racing legends are added to the Long Beach Motorsports Walk of Fame.
